Potty training...

I am so over potty training! Before I had Koa, Kaile was semi potty trained and she was only 18 months! She would go "#1" sometimes in the potty and would "#2" in the potty every time. I really thought I was only going to have one child in diapers... but NO! As soon as Koa was born she would not go anywhere near the potty! Now she's 2 and 2 months and I am WAY beyond over changing her nasty diapers! It's totally grown up pooo! Today I buckled down and when she woke up with a dry diaper this morning I put her on the potty and she did her business! I was so happy! I totally over exaggerated how great she was and gave her a "potty treat" and put her Dora undies on and said "NO GOING PEE PEE ON DORA!" She was like okay mom okay. I asked her every 5 minutes if she had to pee... a little while later I turned on the bath water to give her and Koa a bath and she was standing next to the bath tub as we were waiting for the water to get warm and she freaking peed on my foot! It was gross... to make myself feel better I told myself that she only peed cause the water was running... after her bath I put on Hello Kitty undies and said "NO GOING PEE PEE ON HELLO KITTY!" She went on her way and was playing in her room when Glenn came across a potty training DVD for toddlers. It was the perfect day to watch! A few minutes later I walked into her room to watch the movie with her and she peed on the DVD... she freaking peed on the potty training DVD! I am feeling a little helpless at this point because I know she gets it and she is totally working me! UGH! I am just glad we have a washer and dryer to clean all of the stuff she going to pee all over these next few weeks of potty training...

LOL. I wish I had some sort of advise to give you, but I'm afraid that will be your job for me in the future some time.. So all I can think of is "hang in there"!

I bow to you and your great patience. It's hard for me to imagine her testing you when I see her cute photos. Think...once it's done, it's done!

Ok I can understand peeing on Dora, she's kind of weird looking...and I can understand peeing on your mom's foot, it happens, but HELLO KITTY KAILE! COME ON!! Show some respect!
PS - I miss my children!!

Okay... I know probably the last thing you wanted to hear/know is that I'm sitting here doubled over laughing so hard at the whole thing that I pretty much could pee myself. Okay... breathe Tracy breathe...

Composure regained. Sorry you're in a tough spot. But it sure makes for great blogness. Is blogness a word? Hmmm... (scratches head as deep in ponder) well it is now!

Anyhoo... yes, peeing on Dora... I get that. She's an odd looking little character. And really, the voice is a bit annoying. I'd pee on her too if it were acceptable for a grown woman to be wearing Dora underware and wet herself. I might even contemplate peeing on my moms foot. Well not lately, she's not been feeling well. But maybe one of those times when I was a teen and she was just being the "meanest mom ever". But no, you dont pee on Hello Kitty. You.just.dont.do.that.

You will experience every emotion possible. And just when you think you have hit a mile stone... 10 steps backwards. I've been thinking about potty training Gavin, but I just don't feel like going through that emotional roller coaster again. Good luck! Maybe a play date with her big best friend Hannah would help! Nothing like a little peer pressure.

So funny she peed on the potty training DVD. Only Kaile.
