They grow so fast!

Koa will be 5 weeks old tomorrow and I can't believe it! The time is totally FLYING by! He finally will sit in his "bouncy" chair and go in his swing and it is so nice because it gives me a chance to get things done around the house! He is such a happy baby!

Big Sister Kaile!

Kaile LOVES to feed Koa
She is such a great big sister!

When I was pregnant with Koa I was pretty nervous about how Kaile was going to react when I had a new baby! Kaile was so used to having my full attention 24/7 so I was anxious to see how she would do with a new little one who would need A lot of attention! The first couple of days were a little crazy... Kaile would run into the corner and cry when Koa would cry but after the first week she turned into the best big sister EVER! She just adores "her baby." She loves to hold his bottle for him and she even pats his back to burp him. She is super soft with him and kisses him a million times a day! I am SO relieved that she isn't jealous and now when he cries she goes over to him and says "it's okay baby koa" or "what happened mom." The other day Glenn was holding Koa and he started to cry and all of the sudden Kaile went running into our room and came out with his bottle and handed it to Glenn. She knows when he cries he is usually hungry! I am SO blessed with great kids! (oh and Koa has been sleeping 7-8 hours straight at night, then wakes up to eat and get a change and then sleeps a couple more hours... It's so nice to be getting a whole night of sleep again!)

MY NEW TOY AND MY BABY BOY!

Koa in the only little dressy outfit I could find that would fit his tinyness! I love him!
My new bike I ordered today!

My new jogger/trailer for my bike!

We were at Costco today looking at bikes and we found a double jogger/bike trailer for the kids! I am so excited! Kaile already got a ride in it at Costco and LOVED it... I can't wait until Koa is big enough to go in it in a couple of months! I also ordered a new beach crusier from Costco.com and can't wait until it comes next week! I am SO ready to get back into shape after having 2 babies in a year and a half! It's time to get my body back since I am not planning on having any more babies any time soon! I am so excited for the summer now! Who wants to bike or jog with us?!

Liberty Park

Calleigh hugging Chads leg because Kaile kept stealing her cup... SORRY Calleigh!

My cousin Chad and his daughter, Calleigh, were down from Northern California earlier this week so we took them to the park to play... The whole time Kaile just wanted Calleighs princess cup and by the time Glenn showed up with the camera it was way past nap time so I didn't get too many good pics but I tried! Next time I will have to make sure I take pictures before the melt downs begin!

1 week old!

So today is one week since Koa was born and I already feel SO much better! It's amazing how quickly you recover! The first few nights that Koa was home were CRAZY! I have been so exhausted and emotional and I was extremely worried last night as glenn went back to his "night shift" job! I was freaking out about how I was going to deal with Koa waking Kaile up if he cried and so on... amazingly Koa didn't cry at all! He slept well and was quiet and content when he was awake. I even managed to get a few hours of sleep which was so refreshing! So yesterday Koa had his first "check up" since we left the hospital. He got an A+! He lost a few ounces but that is normal (although Kaile never lost a single ounce... she kept all her food down)! Things are definately settling down here and I can't wait until I can get some kind of routine going... until then I just have to sleep when I can!

BABY KOA!

Kaile checking out her new baby brother!

Koa Kamuela Rex

On Monday morning I went to the doctor and I was dialated to 4 cm so he decided to induce me Tuesday morning (April 29th) because my doctor was going to be out of town Thursday thru Saturday and he figured I would go into labor while he was gone if he didn't induce me... it was definately an "eventful" day! We got to the hospital around 7 am and they got me in my bed but while the nurse was asking me some questions I fainted and was out for about 90 seconds and gave Glenn and the nurses quite a scare. I woke up to find 5 nurses all around me quickly giving me me what they compared to gatorade in my IV. After that everything went pretty good. I got an epidheral which didn't work as well as it did with Kaile but it was still better than nothing! So Koa was born at 4:04 pm and weighs 7 lbs 8 oz and measures 20 in long! I absoultely LOVE being a mom and having a little girl and a baby boy and a FABULOUS hard working husband makes me feel totally complete!
